TOR- MTP Security Services

1. Context

The African Cashew Alliance (ACA) has been working on developing learning solutions for the industry.  As such we have developed several eLearning and in-class training programs, which are being rolled out. The ACA is the lead partner for the Master Training Program (MTP) from the Market-Oriented Value Chains for Jobs & Growth in the ECOWAS Region (MOVE/GIZ) to enable us to consolidate the learning programs as well as enhance the content. So far 16 editions have been held already in which 1,184 experts have been trained between 2014 and 2023. To prepare for and deliver the 17th and 18th Editions in 2024, the ACA is seeking qualified consultants or consultancy firms to provide security services during the training period.

The objective of the services to be contracted for is to provide a 24-hour professional security services during the training to all participants in the Hotel and during the field trip.

2. Tasks to be performed by the consultant.

The consultant is responsible for providing the following services:

• To liaise with Ghana police in ensuring quality security services for participants during the training.
• To do extensive security checks before and during the training.
• To advise management on findings of security checks.
• To give a security briefing at the opening ceremony on the state of security in the country and on the COVID-19 situation on Mondays, 26 February and 18 March at 8:00am respectively for each session.
• To provide 24-hour security service during the training.

Other expectations:

• To be very vigilant during the training programme to avert any security situation.
• To join the resource team on Sundays, 25^th  February and 17^th  March (at 10:00am respectively for each session) for the opening debriefing and on Saturdays, 01^st and 16^th March 2024 (at 8:30am respectively for each session) for the final debriefing.

3. Expected Qualification

• Education/training:  minimum high school level
• Languages: Speaks English fluently.
• General professional experience: at least 10 years of working experience in the security sector in Ghana. Experience in working outside of Ghana would be an advantage.
• Leadership/management experience: at least 5 years of management/leadership experience as project team leader or manager in a company/organization
• Other: Previous experience in providing security services to similar training programmes.

4. Duration of Contract

The contract is spread from February 20^th to 30^th March 2024.  This period contains two (2) sessions within this period all the above expected results of the consultancy must be finalized.
