ACA welcomes Dr. Babafemi Oyewole as its new Managing Director


It is with great pleasure to announce the appointment of Dr. Babafemi Oyewole, as the African Cashew Alliance's (ACA) Managing Director. Following an extensive recruitment process, Dr. Babafemi Oyewole was selected by ACA's Executive Committee members to lead the organization.

A native of Nigeria, Dr. Babafemi Oyewole joins ACA with over twenty five years experience in finance, private enterprise development, and management consulting. From 1995 until 2009, he served as General Manager at Banque  Internationale du Bénin, where he implemented a broad corporate strategy and oversaw the expansion of marketing opportunities within his division. In 2009, Dr. Babafemi Oyewole joined the African Petroleum Producers' Association (APPA) Fund for Technical Cooperation as Executive Director. The APPA Fund finances projects and research proposals aimed at promoting technical cooperation and energy security in various countries in Africa. In this role, he facilitated strategic partnerships and encouraged investment in oil and gas projects across Africa. In 2010, he founded the International Information Technology and Training Centre located in Cotonou, Benin that provides educational support to budding entrepreneurs who seek to create small/medium enterprises.

Dr. Babefemi Oyewole studied in reputable universities in Africa, Europe, and United States including the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom, Harvard University in Boston, USA, and the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His experience and dedication to strategic planning and business development will be invaluable to ACA and its member companies who work in all aspects of the cashew value chain.
