Tanzania to host 2025 ACA Annual Cashew Conference and Expo
Tanzania has been announced as the host of the next Edition of the African Cashew Alliance (ACA) Annual Cashew Conference and Expo in 2025.
This announcement was made by the President of the Board of Directors of the ACA, Mr. Ibrahim SANFO, at the closing ceremony of the 18th ACA Annual Cashew Conference and Expo on Thursday, 19th September 2024 in Cotonou, Benin.
The next Edition which will be held in November 2025 will be the 19th Edition of the Conference since its inception in 2006.
This will be the third time Tanzania, one of the major producers of cashew in Africa will be hosting the cashew world.
“Tanzania is an important country in the global cashew industry, one of the major producers in Africa. The Board and in fact many of our Conference patrons have been greatly impressed by Tanzania’s two previous hosting of the ACA Conference. We look forward to another wonderful Conference in 2025,” Mr. SANFO said.
In his response, Director General of the Cashew nuts Board of Tanzania (CBT), Mr. Alfred France, thanked the Board and Management of the ACA for trusting Tanzania to host the next Conference.
He said the government and cashew family in Tanzania will work together with the ACA to host a memorable Conference in 2025.
“I assure the ACA and the Cashew world the full support and cooperation of the government and cashew sector of Tanzania to host a memorable ACA Conference next year. We invite the cashew world to Tanzania for this great gathering,” he said.
Tanzania will join Benin and Mozambique as the three countries to have hosted the ACA Annual Conference and Expo three times since its inception in 2006.
The ACA Annual Cashew Conference and Expo is held in different cashew producing countries in Africa. The conferences are normally held in September and usually attracts around 500 participants. The conference involves several learning forums, practical sessions and field trips to cashew processing factories or cashew plantations and other interesting sites. ACA has so far held 18 annual conferences, with the last edition held in Cotonou, Benin with over 500 participants in attendance.
