DOMINIQUE SOUNLIN

DOMINIQUE SOUNLIN  (BENIN)

 

SOUNLIN Tognisso Dominique est le promoteur de la Société KAKE-5 INDUSTRY SA (ex SITAB). L’entreprise a été enregistrée sous la forme de Société Anonyme (SA) en 2013. Antérieurement, c’est l’ETS KAKE 5 qui avait vu le jour en 1995. Après quelques années de collecte et de commercialisation de noix de cajou, le promoteur a décidé de s’engager dans la transformation. La société est située à Zounzonkanmè dans la commune de Savalou. Elle a pour activité principale  la transformation de la noix de cajou en amande blanche destinée au  marché international. Elle a démarré ses activités de transformation en 2011 et aujourd’hui elle emploie  275 employés dont 80% de femmes. Le personnel est constitué de 18 permanents et 257 occasionnels.

 

 



 MINATA KONE  (BURKINA FASO)

 

Née en 1958 en CI, grandit à Banfora dans mon village ou j'ai fait mon cursus scolaire avant de le poursuivre dans la capitale. Deux ans d'Universite a Dakar, ont ouvert la porte à 16 ans comme employée au Ministère de l'Agriculture et de l'élevage dans mon pays. L'idée du commerce germait depuis la disparition très précoce de mon père, des l'âge de 8 ans je devais vendre des produits le soir après l'école afin d'assurer la nourriture du lendemain auprès de ma mère ménagère. Les difficultés multiples ont conduit à persévérer dans la recherche de solution. Et de petite fille commerçante du village, je me retrouve à la tête d'une entreprise de transformation a l'échelle industrielle au Burkina Faso. Un long chemin qui suit toujours son cours , car l'arbre ne doit pas cacher la forêt, le succès n'est pas encore au rendez-vous.

 

 

 



 MOMODOU CEESAY (GAMBIA)

 

Mr. Momodou Ceesay was born in Banjul, Gambia, 24th May 1951. he is married with four children. His academic qualification include, M. Hort Sci. (Hons), Massey University, New Zealand (1981), B. App. Sci, Horticultural Technology (1977) and Dip. App. Sci (Horticultural Technology), Queensland Agricultural College (university of Queensland, Gattton), Australia. He has undertaken numerous professional courses and consultancy services.

 

His is currenlty the Managing Director of Gambia Horticultural Enterprises, a multi-purpose agri-business company established in October 1990 and engaged in the entire horticultural value chain from inputs and machinery dealers, farming to agro food processing.

 

 



 ANGA SOTONYE (NIGERIA)

 

Agribusiness strategist and enterprise development expert with corporate experience spanning over 20 years  in plantation development, value addition to crops,  export of Agricultural commodities and trade consultancy across Africa, Asia and Europe.

A passionate promoter of Africa’s cashew value chain development.

Believing that we can change Nigeria one cashew tree at a time, Anga has established some of the largest cashew plantations in Kwara, Abia, Cross rivers, Oyo state, and currently drives the cashew millionaire project.

Mr Anga has authored well over 330 questions and answers covering Life, Psychology, Philosophy, Negotiation, Agriculture, Business, and Customer service management, that have been read by over Three million and eight hundred people worldwide.

 

 

 

 



 CHARLES MUIGAI  (KENYA)

 

Mr. Charles Muigai is the Head of Secretariat Nut Processors Association of Kenya. Charles brings over 16 years’ experience in private sector, enterprise and agribusiness/agro-business development space. . He has vast experience in agribusiness consulting, market analysis, business modelling, value chain advisory and agro-processing advisory locally and internationally.

Charles is a graduate and holds a master’s degree in International Business from University of Nairobi, a Bachelor of Bachelors of Education (Arts) from University of Nairobi.

 

 

 



 KATE KAMBA (TANZANIA)

 

Mr Kate Kamba is a prominent farmer and a processor of Cashew nuts in Tanzania. She owns a cashew nut processing factory namely M/s Perfect cashew Kernels (T) Ltd with capacity to process  metric tons 1,350 of raw cashew nuts per year located in Masasi district, Mtwara Region Tanzania.

She is retired from Government services and now an active member of our association ( Cashewnut Processors Association

 

In1994-she was a Deputy Minister Industries and Trade of the United Repuplic of Tanzania, From  2001 -2012-Member of the East Africa Parliament and she is a Council Member Sokoine University College Of Agriculture 1996-to date.

 

 

 



FLORENTINO NANQUE (GUINEA BISSAU)

 

I am simple African, citizen of the world, was born in Bissau, Guinea Bissau, son of parents who were peasants, I did my primary and graduate studies in Bissau, married to Casimira Lopes da Veiga Nanque, father of seven children, living in Bissau, Guinea Bissau;

I already was farmer, handy man, mechanical metalworker, inventor, manufacturer, trader, among other occupations…;

For several occasions, I served in public posts in the Public Administration of Guinea Bissau, namely: Counsellor for Social Affairs to the Prime Minister, President of the Bissau City Council (Capital City);

I am a Lawyer, Licensed in Law, Postgraduate in Contractual Law and in Diplomatic and Consular Rights; I graduated from the Law School of Bissau, in Guinea Bissau;

I am a founding partner of the Company Djonde Empreendimentos Flonan & Esposa SARL;

I love my family, my workers, the truth, freedom, work (and teamwork), independence…;

I like agriculture, fishing and fishery, industry and research…, I become happy when I hear the noises of functioning machinery and when I see chimneys releasing smoke from factories, because this means the progress to me;

My favourite dish: fish, rice and vegetables.

 

 



 YUNUS GAFAR  (MOZAMBIQUE)

 

President of the  Cashew Processor Association,  AICAJU

Mr. Yunuss Gafar is a business man with an extensive experience in processing and trading agriculture raw products such as cashew, maize, pigeon peas among others. Mr. Yunuss owns presently tow cashew industrial units in Mozambique, responsible for processing more than 8000tonnes of raw cashew. He has been dealing with cashew for years and is now a major cashew products exporter. He comes from a family with long tradition in trading and processing cashew domestically and abroad. Mr. Yunuss Gagar holds a recognized reputation has a cashew business man in Mozambique and has played several roles in key Private Business Organization in Mozambique such as President of AICAJU, the official National Cashew Processors Organization, President of ACIANA the Northern private business organization for agriculture industry and commerce. He is now in charge of the Northern Activities of CTA the National Body of for Private in Mozambique and an important body to dialogue and influence the Mozambican Government in economic and social policies to develop the Mozambican economy.
